About This Journal

The International Journal of Nuclear Security (IJNS) is an open access publication of the Institute for Nuclear Security.

IJNS editorial staff work from the University of Tennessee's flagship campus in Knoxville. IJNS is an open access, peer-reviewed journal published in English and freely available on this unrestricted website hosted as part of UT Libraries VOL Journals.

It was launched in 2015 to fill the need for an open, international, scholarly discussion about nuclear security issues and insights among scholars, students, practitioners, and experts from academia, government, industry, and the private sector—as well as from the intelligence, military, and law enforcement communities.

This journal supports international and interdisciplinary collaboration. We invite and value contributions from every kind of discipline, professional, student, and scholar of every country interested in promoting and maintaining a world secured from nuclear aggression and illicit use of nuclear materials, while supporting a world enriched by the proper use of nuclear technologies.
