Abstract
The medical condition of cataracts is recognized as major causes of blindness world-wide. Simple, inexpensive screening diagnostic techniques are desired for early detection and quantitative characterization of cataracts. Multiwavelength extinction methods us-ing retinal reflectance are shown to provide this capability. Previous research in the University of Tennessee Space Institute Center for Laser Applications was extended to perform simulated Monte Carlo studies of the technique.
