Abstract

The study here presented is an attempt to achieve simplicity and clarity rather than exhaustiveness. It deals with the most important points in the theory of transmission lines calculations, stressing particularly the mathematical derivations involved. A problem has been included to illustrate the principles discussed. It is such a study as would furnish a student unfamiliar with the subject basic information in each of its most important phases.

Work of this character is necessarily a compilation. It has been based largely on notes taken ln class under Professor J. G. Tarboux in Electrical Engineering 443, an extra-curricular course. The writer acknowledges his indebtness to Professor Tarboux for this, and for his assistance in general.
