University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture Photo Competition 2012-2013

In its annual photography competition, the University of Tennessee chapter of Gamma Sigma Delta invited faculty, staff and students of the UT Institute of Agriculture to capture images of who the institute is and what it does in its statewide operations. Images submitted represent the institute’s land-grant mission to conduct research, teaching and outreach that changes lives. Participation in this year’s competition doubled from the previous year, with 158 images entered.

First Place Award
Nymph by Graham Hickling, director, Center for Wildlife Health.

Second Place Award
Sunrise by Megan McMurray, associate director of development, College of Veterinary Medicine and UT Foundation.

Third Place Award
Switchgrass Harvest 2 by Ken Goddard, UT Extension Specialist, switchgrass, post-retirement position.

Honorable Mention Award
Dogwoods by Dawn Seigel, administrative specialist, Department of Plant Sciences.

Most Attractive Picture Award
Manitou Dusk by Graham Hickling, director, Center for Wildlife Health.

Most Attractive Picture: Honorable Mentions
Macaw by Cheryl Greenacre, professor in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine.
Lizard in Vietnam by Kurt Lamour, associate professor, Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology.
UT Gardens by Vi Pikoulas, senior medical technician in the clinical pathology lab of the Veterinary Medicine Center.
