Abstract
This thesis examines the lives of some of the teachers at the Cherokee Boarding School from 1892 to 1928. The relationships between teachers, students, and superintendents comprise the focus of the study. Presenting the teachers using their ages, gender, birthplaces, marital status, and pertinent anecdotes found in correspondence leaves large gaps in the historical picture, but it does provide a beginning for further research into the lives of those fascinating people.
