Abstract

This collection of fiction is compiled of stories written and revised while the author was a Master's candidate at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Among other subjects, the fiction considers the importance of obsessions, apathy, self-worth and responsibility and how those affect the characters' lives. Accompanying these stories is a brief introduction in which the author discusses some of the theories behind his writing aesthetic, various themes linking the stories in this collection and the individual representations and significance of some of the stories' emotional elements.
