Abstract
This thesis is an exploration of the numerical capabilities of the commercial software package, F1DAP, to simulate a high viscosity fluid The interest was in modeling the free surface as well as the internal fluid dynamics of a high viscosity liquid under an axial load Two cases were examined aliquid bridge subject to an axial load, and the coalescence of two liquid drops Both simulations were run under zero gravity conditions Results are compared to experiments run onboard NASA's KC-135 airplane
