Abstract

In the past few years hypochlorite solutions have come into widespread use as sterilizing agents. These solutions are becoming popular because of their simplicity of use, and reported efficiency in killing bacteria. Already many companies are making and selling these sterilizing solutions.

The purpose if this paper is to determine:

(1) The efficiency of a chemical sterilizer for milk utensils, and to find out those factors which make them desirable or undesirable for dairy use.

(2) To make a comparison between these and the more common methods of sterilization.
