Abstract
This study is the first phase of an analysis of poultry and egg marketing practices of farmers and primary marketing agencies in Tennessee.
The three main objectives are:
1. To determine the egg marketing practices of farmers.
2. To determine the marketing practices of primary marketing agencies.
3. To ascertain the effect of certain practices on the quantity and quality of eggs handled in Tennessee.
It is not the purpose to condemn or to defend any practice, system or marketing agency, but to analyze the situation as it exists, and make recommendations for improvements where need for such exists.
