Abstract
The specific objectives of this investigation were as follows: (1) To ascertain the growth rate of lambs fed poor quality grass hay and to demonstrate the importance of protein for growth; (2) to compare the performance of lambs fed cottonseed hull rations supplemented with urea or feather meal as the major source of protein to comparable rations supplemented with cottonseed meal in terms of rate of growth and digestibility of ration components.
