Abstract
Plant and foliar analysis as a method of approaching the practical problem of determining the availability of soil nutrients to plants has been an accepted practice for some time. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of rates of potassium and nitrogen fertilization on the uptake and concentration of potassium, calcium and magnesium in different parts of corn plants. A second purpose was to determine the relationship among these nutrient elements in the plants. Plant samples obtained from three experiments differing in details were studied.
