Abstract

The major purposes of this study were to collect basic benchmark clothing construction data for use in Knox County Extension program planning and to discover any differences that might exist in practice adoption between home demonstration club members who had attended a clothing workshop and those who had not attended a clothing workshop. Answers to the following specific questions were sought: 1. How did those who attended Extension clothing construction workshops differ characteristically from others? 2. Which of the recommended clothing construction practices were the respondents using? 3. What factors influenced club members to adopt or reject the recommended practices?
