Abstract
This guide identifies technicians, states job requirements, and describes special problems in designing, implementing, and operating post-high school programs in computer technology. The following areas are discussed: 1) the computer technician (job descriptions and skill requirements); 2) the curriculum (content and relationship of courses); 3) laboratory facilities; 4) program administration (student recruitment, placement, co-op, faculty development, and teaching methods); 5) resources (financial, physical, and library); and 6) case study of the Mini/Micro computer Technology program at Roane State Community College. A bibliography is appended, as are course syllabi, listing of lab equipment, industrial support, letters, and other pertinent materials.
