Abstract
A program was written for the control of the Unified Radio and Plasma Wave Experiment of the International Solar Polar Mission space craft. Structured programming techniques were used throughout the design and implementation of the program. The task required the development of priority interrupt handling software, spectral analysis software, and experiment controlling software.
Structured programming proved essential to the efficient program development, and a spectral analysis program was developed, using structuring rules, which was faster and consumed less program space than the fast Fourier transform.
