Abstract
An interactive shunt fault analysis package is developed for small power systems. The fault solution procedure implemented is the classical technique based on the symmetrical component transformation and Thevenin's theorem.
The interactive features of the code are designed to make efficient use of the user's time. A base line system design can be loaded into the program by reading an external data file. The user can then interactively make minor system changes, alter fault type, impedance or location for a given fault and execute a fault study.
