Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the relationship between linear programming and matrix games with economic applications.

Along with the definitions of linear programming problems and matrix games various properties and algorithms of linear programming and matrix games are discussed.

Also, the conversion of matrix games to linear programming problems and the reduction of linear programming problems to matrix games are presented.

Finally, the linear model of production is discussed and it is shown that it can be solved by linear programming and matrix games.
