Abstract
This paper presents the results of an experimental investigation into the conditions governing the cooling of the condensing water at the University of Tennessee power plant by means of a spray pond. It involves determining the efficiency of the cooling process under varying conditions of pressure at the spray nozzle, the height of sprays above the pond surface, the temperature of the water to be cooled, and the power required to circulate the water.
