Abstract

The object of the present investigation, then is to observe and record the occurrence of the most conspicuous aspect of our flora,- namely, the trees and shrubs. It has not been practicable to make excursions into some parts of East Tennessee and to obtain data on all these and shrubs, So it is admitted that the list herewith does not include all the indigenous trees and shrubs of the region, but those which are listed are definitely known to occur here.
