Abstract
This thesis is a study of variables involved in electrical transmission. Such a study frequently leads to the simplification of problems which occur in actual practice. Most problems encountered by transmission engineers involve the variables considered in this study, and these problems are generally solved by laboriously considering each section of the line separately. Such considerations do not show the relative action of the variables, but are for specific cases. The study made in this paper attempts to show the relative effect of variable loads and power factors at a shunted admittance.
