Abstract

The 9010A troubleshoot and repair stations installed in the Industrial Systems Division (ISO) were not able to troubleshoot new product due to the inability to purchase interface pods. The use of adapter pods to expand the capability of the stations proved ineffective.

To construct an interface pod, the capabilities of the existing 9010A system was examined along with the software required to communicate with the 9010A. The data books of existing parts used by ISO were used to select the parts pf the design.

The TMS9995 interface pod met the power, board space, and timing requirements necessary to work with the 9010A and effectively mesh into the buss structure of designs using the TMS9995 microprocessor.
