Abstract
This research attempted to develop inositol derivatives that could potentially be used as drugs to inhibit a variety of cellular functions. The main emphasis of this research revolved around the formation of an episulfide myoz-inositol derivative through an epoxide intermediate. Other procedures were carried out for the attempted formation of conduritol B and for a nitrogen analogue of myo-inositol.
