Abstract
Exploration of a multi-dimensional design space is required to optimize large designs with multiple, often conflicting criteria. Currently, tools used in design optimization lack the ability to simultaneously consider multiple objectives. MODA, the multi-objective design advisor has been developed to show ways to visualize a multi-dimensional design space and help designers optimize tradeoffs between multiple criteria. MODA is a general tool which can be customized to run with any set of CAD tools and is not limited to the design problems from any particular discipline.
