Abstract
The theories on photo- and electroproduction of baryon resonances in the nonrelativistic constituent quark model (NCQM) are reviewed. The electromagnetic interaction for a three-body system is discussed, with particular emphasis on the relativistic corrections and the role of binding potential, which have been neglected in previous calculations. The transition amplitudes are calculated consistently to O(v2/c2
