Abstract
This is a collection of poems that interweaves consumerist aesthetics alongside place-as-memory poetics to offer a new vein of Appalachian literature. The poetry contained within is less interested in combating and complicating traditional Appalachian tropes, and reimagining Appalachia as a region fighting for its identity amidst modern rural commercialism and a wider culture that seeks to flatten regionality.
