Brochure documenting the 1956 exhibition of paintings by Tip Ayres and Ruth Fulton.

The two women were members of prominent Knoxville families. Patricia "Tip" Ayres was the daughter-in-law of University of Tennessee President, Dr. Brown Ayres. Ruth Fulton was a member of the Fulton family, who owned Fulton Co., manufacturer of the sylphon - a device originally invented to measure the depth of the Tennessee River.
