Program Abstract/Summary
The African American community is faced with a divide generationally and across multicultural lines. Even in the midst of a so called "post-racial" society there are mixed views between the young and the old on how best to move our communities forward. In the midst of the great debate we find that Hispanics and Asians are surpassing African Americans educationally, economically and politically. I would like to present a slide show presentation entitled "bridging the gap" and challenge us of ways in which we must stratetically re-think and re-connect with each other educationally and politically and realized it is all intertwined with the state of our culture.
