Veterinary Medicine

The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine was established by an act of the Tennessee Legislature in 1974. The College is part of the University of Tennessee statewide system and is located on the Agricultural Campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Tennessee boasts one of only 28 veterinary colleges in the nation, providing opportunities for Tennessee students, while serving pet owners and the livestock industry as well as protecting public health, enhancing medical knowledge and generating economic benefits to the state and nation.

The annual Veterinary Partners Appreciation Conference (V-PAC) provides up to 8 hours of individualized continuing education opportunities to large and small animal veterinarians, technicians & their practice management staff. The V-PAC for continuing education is provided in gratitude for the support from the college’s referring veterinarians and their staff.
