Relationship of pH, phosphorus and potassium of soil layers among fifty soil series in Tennessee
The objectives of the study were to: 1) Characterize the profiles of several representative Tennessee soils in relation to pH and phosphorus and potassium levels. 2) Make certain soil test comparisons of interest in soil classification and soil test interpretations. 3) Find soil test relationships among soils in each sampling area and between sampling areas. 4) Compare the test values of pH and the levels of phosphorus and potassium of soil samples maintained at field-moisture level until analysis with the values of paired samples air dried before analysis.
