Abstract
This thesis applies a microprocessor system as a digital controller for improving the controlled system's performance. A motor system model is derived. The peripherial devices that were interfaced to the microprocessor were fabricated from conventional integrated circuits. The controller algorithm programmed in the microprocessor is a second order controller and is used in a lead lag application. Different test methods are presented in order to demonstrate the feasibility of the system.
