Abstract

The purpose of this experiment is to determine experimentally the minimum distortion that can be obtained by using the proper "C" bias, on the tubes in an audio amplifier.

After having determined the grid voltage for minimum distortion experimentally, in an endeavor to make a more complete study of the occurring distortion, the input and output wave was photographed by means of an oscillograph.

With this in mind an amplifier was designed and built, in order that experimental data could be secured to meet the above requirements.
