Abstract

For the past two years Lori Gallo has patiently answered my many questions about the Advanced Tactical Air Reconnaissance System (ATARS). Without her leadership and commitment to the ATARS program (since 1990), the Fleet Marine Force Would not be getting the quality tactical reconnaissance system that it is about to receive.I would also like to thank Glenn Jadney, Rob Borland, Kerry Westervelt, and MikeClelland for their guidance during my research of the technical aspects of ATARS. Last,I would like to thank my wife Mary and children Travis and Carly, for their love and understanding during the challenging four months I spent writing this thesis.
