Presents news updates pertaining to CD-ROM database products in the U.S. as of December 1986. Increasing number of database products available on optical digital discs; Digital Equipment Corp.'s decision to exit from the CD-ROM database publishing to produce and market subsets of their databases on CD-ROM; Instability of CD-ROM products.
