Founded in 1965, the College of Architecture and Design houses the only accredited School of Architecture in Tennessee, the top-ranked Interior Design program in the state, as well as a newly established Landscape Architecture program. Approximately 350 undergraduates are enrolled in the 5-year Bachelor of Architecture program, while 35 graduate students are pursuing a first professional Master of Architecture degree. Both degrees are accredited by the National Architecture Accreditation Board. In addition, the College offers a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, which is professionally accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation and has a student body of approximately 80 students. An intercollegiate Master in Landscape Architecture program was recently added to the College's curriculum with classes beginning fall 2008.
