Completion of an Experiment on a 10 K.W. (110/100000 Volt) Transformer

The follow remarks and tests apply to the transformer designed and partially buillt by Messers. This year it was intended that the transformer be compled and test and this work was to constitute a thesis. In finding the ration of transformation however, it was found that the transformer would not stand much more than half the voltage for it was designed. For a while it behaved nicely but now when fifty volts are applied to the primary in parallel, bubbles of smoke come up out of the oil.
