Rasdazl : an extended graphics tool for use with Rascal
Many useful graphics programming tools are possible with the Apple II microcomputer, but were not included in the Rascal animation system because of space and time limitations. This project reports on the construction of two graphics libraries and two graphics demonstration programs.
One of these libraries provides for character or text string manipulation in the Apple II high-resolution graphics area. A set of special WRITE and WRITELM commands in Pascal formate are used to write a character, a text string, or an integer in a "text window".
The other library is built for "field" or picture buffer manipulation and high-resolution "solid image" manipulation.
To demonstrate the effects of these two libraries, two "super-painter" programs (TEXT and FIELD) are used.
