Abstract
This study identified several methods for recovering phenylated boron compounds and their decomposition by- products from industrial waste streams. The selected processes were ranked in accordance with pollution-prevention principles in order to identify the best option. The selected options were solvent extraction and sorption following a hydrolysis or oxidation pre-treatment. Laboratory data was collected for the potential sorption process using a pyridine-based polymer resin and regeneration using isopropyl alcohol.
