Abstract

This investigation was designed to evaluate the effect of various rates of annual topdressings of fertilizer on soil test values for exchangeable cations, available phosphorus, and pH of the soil at various depths under established alfalfa stands on four soil types. The yield of alfalfa hay from each soil was correlated with the soil test values of various layers for each location.
