Abstract
The purpose of this thesis was to provide general guidelines that could be used by agricultural workers in working with farmers on adjustment problems and that could be used by the individual farmer in making adjustments. This information was based on conditions peculiar to Henderson County, Tennessee. Specific objectives were: (1) to estimate an optimum combination of enterprises that would maximize income on a representative farm in the mixed soil group of Henderson County, and (2) to estimate the effect of various levels of investment capital and labor supply on farm income and organizations.
