Abstract

Due to the many recent developments is new fields of refrigeration, and to the increasing use of Carbon Dioxide as a refrigerating medium,it is of improtance that anyone interested in this phase of industry should be acquainted with the more fundamental principals governing the use of CO2. It is for this purpose that this thesis has been written. An attempt has been made to sift from a large mass of material the most important points, and to submit these in a logical and concise way. A greater part of the time has been spent on the construction of a Mollier Diagram, and the construction of superheat tables for Carbon Dioxide from this diagram.
