Abstract
It is the purpose of this thesis to make a detailed situational study as an experimental approach to the process of social changes as brought about in committees by an outside stimulus such as the TVA fertilizer. The principal objective is to examine the influence of an external incentive on rural community organizations. As individuals differ in the amount of participation due to various factors, an attempt is made to study the combined impact of one incentive on different group formations in selected communities.
