Abstract
This thesis presents the algebraic techniques for the analysis of dynamical systems. Methods for both "interval-analysis" and "pointanalysis" are included. The main concern of the thesis is the introduction of the "block-pulse" method. Applications of the method to the solution of differential equations, to the synthesis of optimal control, and to the realization of Kalman filtering are described in detail.
