Relationship of sires to eating quality of beef

The object of this study was to determine differences in eating quality of beef from various sire progenies. Thus the sires which are known to produce progeny having beef with high eating quality could be used intensively for breeding. It was assumed that heredity has a great role in the production of the desired tender beef. By locating sires that produce progeny with tender meat, the task of the beef cattle producer can be made easier and more profitable.
