Abstract

This thesis is a report of a small study of copper oxide rectification of alternating current. It is written with the hope that some other student will realize the vast possibilities of this type of rectifier and will make a much more extended study of it.

The thesis was originally intended to include the construction as well as the testing of a rectifier of this type, but lack of time and information available has made it impossible to carry out the construction. This thesis, therefore, is a report of the study of the action of a copper oxide rectifier known commercially as "Kuprox Rectifier".

The author wishes here to express his indebtedness to Dr. C.A.Perkins for the valuable suggestions offered in connection with this thesis.
