Instrumentation of the United States Forest Service Baron 58P N132Z for flight testing
This thesis describes the instrumentation package used to collect and reduce the data acquired while flight testing the United States Forest Service's Beechcraft Baron 58P N132Z.
The system consisted of sensing instruments, a signal conditioner, a personal computer and appropriate software. Power to the sensors and the computer was controlled by the flight test engineer. Data were collected for twenty minutes and stored in the computers memory. At the end of twenty minutes the data were downloaded to a floppy disk. The data on the floppy disk were manipulated on a separate personal computer for analysis once on the ground. The system was reliable and provided a quick and easy way to interpret the Data.
