The purpose of the writer in designing the device described here was to do away with these inherent disadvantages of the hand regulated oven. The aim was to produce a device that would be inexpensive, simple reliable, of a reasonable degree of accuracy, and rugged enough to withstand the action of the corrosive fumes that are always present in a chemical laboratory.
