Abstract
With homelessness on the rise, I wanted to examine how much this population knew about common diseases within their own community. Providing this information will help not only the homeless population, but our nation as a whole to better protect ourselves from communicable diseases. Each of 10 homeless people were given a pre and post test after having information about Hepatitis and MRSA for 24 hours. The results were clear, that everyone did better on the post test. Those that completed the experiment were able to learn very quickly and it makes you think what we can do for this population if more people were to contribute.
