This study is intended to acquaint the reader with the chief facts regarding a state wide secret political order to which approximately half the population of Tennessee ince gave its support. It is not the purpose of the writer to defend this movement, neither is it his purpose to condemn. An earnest effort has been made, however, to present a clear and concise account of its nature, the issues concerned, and the political activitists involved.
