Abstract
The primary object of the work is an investigation of the operating conditions and power requirements of the marble finishing mills and machine shops in some of the principal cities of the State of Tennessee. NO attempt has been made to investigate the complete system of management. This report covers the general operating conditions in the plants together with a more detailed report of the power consumption. For comparative purposes the power consumption was reduced to several units which will be explained later in the report.
