Pollinator Education for Master Gardeners

There is a sharp decline in pollinator populations and a sharp increase in conservation efforts as well as public sentiment towards their population declines. One thing that can meet both of these needs is the development and better circulation of scientifically-backed information.

The aim of this project is to evaluate the knowledge and experience of Tennessee Master Gardener participants related to pollinators and pollinator-friendly plants. To complete this research, a survey will be sent to the Tennessee Master Gardeners, including questions on the frequency of requests for pollinator-friendly plant recommendations they receive, their level of knowledge about pollinators and pollinator-friendly plants, and if providing additional information will influence their behavior.
