Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design a controller to decode and encode Baudot code for radioteletype communications. The Baudot code is decoded and then displayed on an RCA CRT terminal. The controller design is based on the Intel 8035 single chip microcomputer.

The original design goals were to design a controller with a minimum of integrated circuit packages, using readily available and inexpensive components.

To verify the operation of the controller design, a test program was written to exercise the major portions of the hardware.
